Location... Location... Location

Walk out the door into the crisp mountain air and within minutes be on the lift marvelling at the awe-inspiring Northern Japanese Alps.  If you are a group valuing proximity to the lifts, ski school, restaurants and your own private space, Chalet Hakuba is an  excellent choice.

Size... Size... Size

You have found a property that gives you authentic space to relax and recharge after a fun and adventurous day in the mountains. 10 genuine bedrooms means everyone in your party can have their privacy. Utilize the fully equipped kitchen with everything from a fresh bread maker, waffle iron, panini press, smoothie making blender, to an Nespresso machine. Relax in spacious and comfortable living rooms where you can watch a movie or live stream on the 60" screen using the projector with copious DVD's, books, games and magazines.

You are renting the entire Chalet (not just rooms in a lodge) so you have access to all 10 bedrooms, full sized modern
bathrooms, the kitchen with 5 burner stove and full sized oven including a sandwich maker, blender, a dining and living room on the second floor with 3 comfortable sofas, a projector, new Apple TV, second living room on the first floor, ski storage and drying room, plus Japanese style bathing facilities and a washing machine and dryer.

Chalet Hakuba staff will arrange a welcome food and adult drink package for you so you'll be all set for your night of arrival and your first day's breakfast.  Then you can make your way to the grocery store at your convenience.

You'll be staying 260m from the Sakka Quad Lift in the Happo-One ski area, the largest, steepest and most famous of the 11 resorts in the Hakuba Valley... home to the 1998 Olympic Downhill. The neighborhood is the heavily forested Wadano area. From the Sakka Quad you can easily access all of Happo-One and the free shuttle bus gives you access to all the other ski resorts in Hakuba. The beginner and kids park and babysitting are right there at the Sakka lift station, with numerous choices for lunch and dinner all within walking distance.

Let the Adventures Begin:
Situated in the breathtakingly beautiful Northern Japan Alps, Hakuba stands out as one of Japan's top winter resort areas, offering some of the best winter sports action in Japan. The host of the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics, Hakuba comprises nine ski resorts stretched across a broad valley, and provides more terrain, vertical rise and advanced ski and snowboard slopes than anywhere in Japan. Abundant snow falls and excellent powder conditions make Hakuba a perennial top choice of skiers and snowboarders from around the world.

9 Resorts. 135 Lifts. Over 200 Runs:
For more than 70 years, Hakuba has been providing skiers, boarders and outdoor enthusiasts the ideal conditions for enjoying a superlative winter sports experience. Over 200 different trails, exceptional powder and some of the longest vertical skiing in Japan are just a few of the reasons why Hakuba has earned its reputation as a prime destination for skiers and boarders of all levels.

A World of Snow at Your Doorstep:
How Do You Want to Play Today?  Nine ski resorts are located across the Hakuba Valley, all within easy reach of the local towns of Happo and Wadano. Plenty of snow, miles of trails and easy access from major Japanese cities are just a few of the reasons why visitors return to Hakuba year after year.

Just the tip of the iceberg:
The resort runs make up a fraction of the overall ski-able terrain in the Hakuba region.  With expert guides like Steve Lee and his team you will get Off Piste and experience Backcountry bliss. You don't need to be a pro skier or boarder to experience the wonders of backcountry Hakuba.  Hiking 400 metre further from the top of the main gondola to Northern Face terrain at one of the resorts will have you and your friends in your very own private winter wonderland.  Fresh untracked snow with a variety of terrain from advanced to intermediate.  You certainly need to have some skills to go back-country and of course the right gear and safety equipment.  Steve Lee and his team will ensure you are up for it and well prepared before you venture Off Piste into some of Japan's finest terrain.
