Having studied languages at Uni, Sasha then lived in France for several years working as an Au Pair, Sports Instructor and later, running a ski chalet in Chamonix. After returning to Australia, Sasha worked out she could continue to ski for free by organising the annual Ski Trips for UQ and QUT Uni to Perisher and Queenstown. After a variety of work experiences including significant time in the travel industry in both the wholesale and retail sectors (as a Product Manager, BDM and Travel Consultant), Sasha now spends considerable time keeping our website looking trick and the associated content, specials and pricing up to date. In addition to the Product Management, Sasha now runs the Snow Program from the Marketing to the Reservations and everything inbetween. Sasha has skied the last 5 seasons in Japan (Niseko, Furano, Hakuba, Nozawa Onsen, Myoko & Madarao), and in February 2020 she heads back to Hokkaido to explore Tomamu, Rusutsu and more...
Kiyomi lives year-round in Hakuba (originally from the Kyoto area). Kiyomi is a former competitor in the local snowboarding championships and a keen one at that. However, now as a busy working mum, she loves injecting her enthusiasm for the sport into planning ski holidays for Australians coming to experience her Winter playground. There is not much that she doesn’t know when it comes to snow travel in Japan. Kiyomi’s English is impeccable… so make the most of her insider knowledge and ask for her advice… she is friendly, efficient and fabulous.
Charlie’s home turf has always been the Sunshine Coast however her holiday home is now in Canada! Charlie’s family has moved to Canada close to the Whistler snow fields, so of course when she visits them a lot of time is now spent snowboarding. If you call through to our World Snowfaris office, Charlie will always assist you with any queries.
World Surfaris has employed several trainees now and they have all worked out wonderfully. So we are confident that, despite having only just finished High School, Sophia has embarked on a known path that we believe will take her to great heights. She loves to travel, so that’s a pretty good basis on which to work with us. Sophia has already travelled to a couple of overseas destinations with the family and is looking forward to trying a few more – once she completes her traineeship….
Brooke has been with World Snowfaris/World Surfaris for 11 years and has the most extensive knowledge of all our adventure packages, as well as our management systems. Originally from Sydney, Josh has come to his senses and now lives on the beautiful Sunshine Coast in Queensland. With previous extensive travel experience, Josh has been a welcome addition to our Travel Consultant team - possibly because it means that staff holidays may now be put back on the agenda again. A seasoned surfer and snowboarder, Josh showed advanced skills and talent by starring in and producing a short video of his recent snowboarding trip to Japan. And yes, he shreds with both feet in both sports.
Trent works in the marketing team and is our multimedia wiz making our snow adventures digitally come to life. A self-proclaimed computer nerd, Trent has a passion for multimedia design and has completed university studies in that field. Having been on several snowboarding trips in Australia, New Zealand, and Japan already, Trent plans on returning to the unreal Japanese powder next season… he also speaks Japanese so he’s a very handy member of our World Snowfaris team.
An accountant by training, JP counts the money, checks the money, double-checks the money, accounts for the money & then pays out the money. Yup, he’s a control freak. JP provides major support to our Travel Consultants to make sure they have maximum time available to talk to you about your surf adventure. A relatively recent addition to the team, JP had big shoes to fill when he started and he has thrived on the challenge. In his early days, we kept his ego in check by asking for all calculations to be re-done to the fourth decimal place.
Having undertaken a significant number of adventure trips with several agencies and operators over the years, John liked the World Snowfaris parent company so much that he bought the business! Clearly the “elder statesman” of the team (as any staff group photo will show), John may occasionally appear to experience mild bouts of dementia in his office life, but still excels at all the “après-ski” activities.
